Why I’m Taking on the LIVIN Better Challenge
Mental health has always been something close to my heart, not just professionally, but personally. Like many people, I’ve had seasons where I’ve felt overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally flat, or like I was carrying more than I was letting on. I know what it feels like to look okay on the outside while quietly trying to hold yourself together on the inside. That’s why conversations around mental health matter so much to me.
I’m taking on this challenge because I know how powerful the simple foundations of wellbeing can be. Movement, sunlight, routine, connection, and purpose have all been things that have helped me through difficult periods in my own life. A walk has often been more than just exercise for me — it’s been a reset, a way to clear my mind, regulate my nervous system, process emotions, and come back to myself.
Fundraising for this challenge feels meaningful because no one should have to struggle in silence or feel alone in what they’re carrying. If showing up each day, moving my body, and raising awareness can help spark conversations, encourage someone to seek support, or contribute to life-changing mental health initiatives, then it’s something I’m proud to be part of.
This challenge is also a reminder that wellbeing doesn’t always come from grand gestures. Sometimes it comes from small, consistent actions. One walk. One conversation. One step at a time. And that’s the energy I’m bringing into this month — moving for my own mental health, and for those who may need support too.
