This is my why!

This May, I’m taking on the LIVIN Better Challenge and I want to be clear about why.

Mental health isn’t something I talk about lightly. It’s something I’ve lived. There have been periods in my life where things got very dark. I’ve felt completely overwhelmed, stuck in my own head, and at times I didn’t see a way forward. I’ve been in a place where I questioned everything, including whether I even wanted to keep going.

That’s not easy to admit, but it matters.

Because the reality is, there are people out there feeling that exact same way right now. Quietly. Privately. Putting on a brave face while struggling more than anyone around them realises.

And no one should have to feel like that. No one should feel like there’s no way out. And no family should have to experience the loss that comes with it.

That’s why I’m getting behind LIVIN.

They’re doing real work, breaking stigma, starting conversations, and making it easier for people to speak up and get support before things reach that point.

This challenge is my way of giving back. It’s not about me, it’s about contributing to something that helps others who might be where I once was.

If you’re struggling, please know this, you’re not alone, even if it feels like you are. There are people who care, people who will listen, and there is always another step forward, even if it’s a small one.

And if you’re in a position to support, I’ve set a goal of raising $1,000 for LIVIN. There’s absolutely no pressure at all, but any contribution goes towards helping them continue the work that genuinely saves lives.

More than anything, I just want this to reach the right person who might need to hear it.

We’ve all got our battles, you don’t have to fight yours alone.
