Why I’m Taking on the LIVIN Better Challenge
I lost my uncle to suicide as a young person, my young cousin, I’ve lost friends to sucide and I had a period of  time in my life as a young person where I was severely battling through my own mental health.
I’m not as vocal or as vigilant as I used to be because sharing my own journey (at the time) seemingly helped many others out but ultimately not myself.Â
For now I just have gratitude in growth and the well deserved respect and protection of peace for myself.
The LIVIN Better Challenge is about showing up daily, moving my body, checking in with myself, and being more intentional about my own wellbeing. Moving 9,000 steps a day feels achievable, but meaningful.
Fundraising through the LIVIN Better Challenge, I’m helping support LIVIN’s mental health education programs for young people across Australia.Â
At a time where I was unable to work due to head-injury for sport and employment challenges, I became a LIVIN facilitator. It was largely short-lived as I wound up (& thankfully) ended up working with the AFL - but I had never felt more proud to be welcomed into a team like this.
If you’d like to support my journey, or take on the challenge yourself, I’d love for you to join me. Let’s walk, reflect, fundraise, and LIVIN Better, together.
