Why I’m Taking on the LIVIN Better Challenge

Mental health isn’t something you can switch on and off. It’s something you have to work on every day, and that’s something I’ve learned growing up through my own ups and downs.

There’s been times where things felt really good, and other times where they didn’t. One thing I’ve realised is how much your lifestyle and the people you surround yourself with can impact how you feel.

That’s why I’m taking on the LIVIN Better Challenge, committing to 9,000 steps every single day in support of the 9 lives lost to suicide every day in Australia.

It’s about showing up daily, moving my body, and being more intentional with my mental health. Alongside the steps, I’m also trying to do one small thing each day for my wellbeing, whether that’s checking in with someone, learning something new, creating something, or just allowing myself to properly rest.

By fundraising through this challenge, I’m helping support LIVIN’s mental health education programs for young people across Australia,  programs that start important conversations early, break stigma, and give people the confidence to ask for help when they need it.
